Why are we making changes?
Worship is the heart of our life together. For a time, we will consolidate our resources into one morning service while we pray, prepare and follow the Spirit into His plans for a new evening service to launch after Easter. Much like our summer services, during the winter we will experience the joy of having our whole congregation worshipping together and, rest assured, the service will include the best elements of worship we have come to expect in our 9am and 10:30am services. Then, after Easter, we will create a new evening worship opportunity, which we believe will position us well to support and equip our MVPC family to effectively reach our largely unchurched community with the good news of the Savior, all to the glory of God.
How you can help!
PRAY: Please pray for God to be glorified in our worship. Pray that God will open your eyes to see Him in new ways. Pray for our church family to come together as a community church to make a global impact for Christ. Pray for those in our community who do not yet know Christ, and pray for opportunities to share the good news. Finally, pray that all the logistics involved with our Sunday schedule go smoothly.
PARK: If you are able, please park at Miramonte High School. We will have a shuttle running continuously from 8am to 12pm. If you need to park at MVPC, please fill in the upper lots first. We will have additional marked handicapped parking spaces on both sides of the church campus, as well as additional spots marked for visitors.
SMILE: We recognize that change is never easy, but growth doesn’t happen without change. We appreciate your good attitude and patience as we iron out any kinks over the next few weeks. This will also be a good opportunity to get to know people who attended the “other” service and to welcome new people to MVPC.
GET INVOLVED: This may be just the right time to try out a new-to-you ministry. Join a class. Become an usher/greeter. Hold babies in the Nursery or teach/assist in one of MVPC’s children’s or student classes.
BRING A FRIEND: Pray about it, extend an invitation, and pick up a friend on your way to come and see what God is doing at MVPC!
We’re excited for what God has in store for this next chapter in the life of Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church. See you Sunday!
