Parent Information
May
Parents, we invite you to take a look at the May issue of the ParentLink newsletter. This month's issue focuses on teaching children about problem solving. Growing up involves constant problem-solving. Children must negotiate peer interactions, make decisions, and learn new skills. Parents can empower kids and give them a sense of control by modeling calm, Christ-like problem-solving techniques. Most importantly, parents can share that God is in charge of all the challenges we face.
Highlights of this new issue include:
Age appropriate insights about problem solving. |
Teachable moments: for parents to model ways to react to difficult situations, to remind children that families support one another, and reinforce the power of prayer. |
Fun family activities to convey the idea of looking to God for strength. |
Information about the new movie Chimpanzee and the album "Knees and Elbows" by eleven year old artist, Willow Smith. |
