Kids living victoriously!

Applying Biblical truths

in today's world

for 1st-5th graders.

1st through 5th grades

Each Sunday is a new adventure as we learn

to apply Biblical truths to real-life situations.

Children learn how they, too, can live victorious Christian lives!

Sundays, 9:00 am

Welcome to SonTown!
All children (1st through 5th grades) begin in the Forum. After checking-in and making a nametag, children participate in fun activity stations for 10-15 minutes. We then begin the morning together with praise and worship songs, offering, and a lesson lead by a staff member. Following the lesson, children are dismissed to classrooms where they meet in grade-specific small groups and further explore their Bible lesson.

Location
SonTown meets in the MVPC Forum at 9:00am, the large room on the lower campus. Click here to see our campus map.

Curriculum
SonTown curriculum is Christ-centered and Bible based. A weekly family activity page to use at home on Monday through Friday is also available each week on the table outside Room 211 and on the coffee cart on the downstais terrace outside the classrooms.

Curriculum for Spring 2008

Beginning April 13 - June 8 - Students in 1st - 5th grades will start an 8-week series called "New Creation," which emphasizes the Fruit of the Spirit.  They will learn about the different qualities God's Spirit can develop in them.  Students will meet various Bible characters who exemplify these traits in their lives.

Small Groups
After the main lesson in the Forum, students are escorted by their leaders to classrooms for small group time. During this time, students participate in activities and discussions that reinforce what they've learned in the main lesson. Friendships develop and prayer time is powerful!

Check-in and Dismissal Procedures
When you arrive in the Forum, a parent greeter will welcome your child and check him/her in on the attendance chart.  Registration forms on all children are to be completed in the fall each year.  If you are a visitor, you will be asked to complete a Visitor Card.

Students in 1st through 3rd grades need to be picked up from their classrooms by a parent or guardian. Teachers will dismiss 4th and 5th graders at the close of the class. Please speak with your child and determine a meeting place.
