Senior Pastor Email Rob

Rob has served as the Senior Pastor of MVPC since 2013. Prior to that, Rob pastored churches in Boston, Massachusetts, Malibu, California, and Dhaka, Bangladesh. He and his family also served as missionaries in India and Thailand. He received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University. He received a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Rob has a vision to equip and empower the laity with God’s Word to do the ministry of the church and reach out to the community and beyond. His passion is for small group ministry as an arena for discipleship, spiritual growth, and transformation. Rob and Mitali have been married for thirty years and are the proud parents of their two young-adult sons, Tim and Jim.



Rev. Dave Ricketts

Dave has served in professional ministry since 1993 at churches in Oxnard and San Diego, California, before being ordained to his position at MVPC in August 2006. He is a graduate of Westmont College (B.A. in Religious Studies) and Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He enjoys outdoor activities such as backpacking, hiking, and kayaking, and indoor activities like reading and watching movies.


Rev. Sam Fielder

Associate Pastor for Young Families Email Sam

Sam serves as the Associate Pastor for Young Families at MVPC.  He and his family moved here from Birmingham, AL in 2016 to join MVPC. Sam and his wife Kristen have twin boys, Marcus and Micah, who bring great joy and excitement to their lives.  He has a B.A. in Communication from Palm Beach Atlantic University and an M.Div. from Beeson Divinity School.  He is passionate about glorifying God by making disciples and seeing God’s people impact the world around them for Christ. Sam grew up in the Bay Area and enjoys sports (Cal, A’s, Warriors, 49ers), outdoor activities, reading, music, and travel.

Rev. Tommy Branagh

Assistant Pastor for Student Ministries  Email Tommy

Tommy serves as the Assistant Pastor for Student Ministries. Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Tommy grew up in the church and has loved Jesus for as long as he can remember. In high school he fell in love with youth ministry and has been involved with it ever since. He has a B.A. in Christian Education from Wheaton College and a M.Div. from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, AL. After Wheaton he was hired as the middle school director Willow Creek DuPage, the church he attended in college. In 2015 Tommy and his wife Megan moved back to Oakland and he joined the staff of Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church. Outside of ministry, he loves reading, basketball, and going on runs with his wife and dog!
