Outdoor 24 | Backpack Trip Emigrant Wilderness

 Emigrant Wilderness

October 5-7, 2018

We will begin our trip on Friday driving to the trail head at Crabtree Meadow (near Pinecrest Lake) and hike the 4 miles to Bear Lake where we will spend the night.  There should be plenty of time to fish, rest or explore the area before making diner and enjoying some time around a campfire.

Saturday morning we will take a short 2.5 mile hike to Granite Lake following the feeder creek into Bear Lake. Feel free to spend the afternoon hiking around, fishing, swimming or getting to know one of the other guys on the trip.

Sunday morning will be a leisurely start before packing up to hike out to the cars and drive home that evening.

Cost for the trip is only $25 per person to cover gas and permit fees. Please bring all your own gear including food. We will have communal stoves and pots for your use to heat water along with water purification pumps but ask that each person bring the rest of their personal items. We will touch base before the trip about other communal items that folks may have to share.
