Outdoor 24 | Fly Fishing

October 19-21, 2018

Come experience the beauty of God’s creation and the thrill of wading some of the most beautiful rivers in Northern California. October is prime time for the caddis hatch and the water is low enough to fish just about anywhere. Trip is open to all experience levels of fly fishers. If you are a beginner, we have folks willing to teach you or give you tips to make you better.  Chance to fish the Upper Sacramento River, the Pitt River, the McCloud River or Hat Creek. Accommodations at Frank Brown’s family cabin in Shasta City, about a 10-60 minute drive to these amazing rivers.

Cost is $30 per person for food and drinks. If you can take Friday off, one group is planning to leave at 8:30 am from MVPC with other cars heading out throughout the day. Bring your gear, a sleeping bag and pillow in case the beds are taken already, snacks for the day on the river, money for food on the road and breakfasts at the original Black Bear Diner Saturday and Sunday. We should be home Sunday evening.
