Summer Camps

We, at MVPC, love, love, love summer camp for so many reasons! Sara Kuljis, Executive Director at Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp since 1998 shared her thoughts with us on the value of summer camp. Northern California has many offerings, so we’ve narrowed the field and listed a few of our very favorite below for you. Registration for some opens as early as fall for sleep away camps, so click on the links to get all the details. More than a mountaintop experience, Christian summer camp is full of laughter, play, community, and worship as kids experience life to the fullest. At camp, kids unplug—the phone, the computer, the alarm clock—and find themselves with lots more unstructured time to sing fun worship songs, watch the Truth portrayed in some crazy-funny skits, play cool games, and make new friends! Students encounter the God who knows them, who loves them and who wants to change their lives for eternity. Why camp? …Why not?

VBS at MVPC: Ages 4 years old thru entering 5th grade, plus Staff positions, too!

Have you ever dreamed of going on safari and seeing the big five – lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and African buffaloes – freely roaming the Serengeti? During our five big days of VBS, we’ll be learning all about how God’s love takes care of the animals and it covers us, too! Not only does God love us and take care of us, but He also loves us when we’re unlovable, He sent His son, Jesus, and He wants us to share His love with others. While on safari, we’ll be receiving letters from the Apostle Paul, who lived a life of privilege  before he went on his own trek to spread the life-changing message of God’s love in an ancient “anything goes” culture. His adventures will inspire today’s kids to share the truth of God’s immeasurable love.

VBS at MVPC is summer’s mane event! We will be seeking 150+ volunteers to lead our campers on safari this June, to share your faith, and to exemplify the love of God all along the way.

Save the dates: VBS 2019: June 17-21, from 9 am to Noon. VBS Volunteer Staff and Staff Kids Registration will begin March 1. General Registration for ALL Kids opens April 1.

Christian camping at Hume Lake takes advantage of all these benefits in order to encourage youth to focus on the most important relationship in their life—the one with their Creator. We teach the gospel while giving young people an unforgettable camping experience! Click here for Hume Lake Info
