Location

The MVPC Nursery is located on our main campus, directly across the Courtyard from the Sanctuary. See our campus map.

Age Limits

Babies 3 months to 12 months old will be cared for in the infant section of the Nursery.

Toddlers 13 months and walking will be cared for in the toddler side of the Nursery.

Any child turning two (2) from September 1st to December 1st will be promoted in January to our Two’s Class. Toddlers turning two during the spring and summer months will be promoted to the Two’s Class in the fall of that year.

Check-In Procedures

Infants and toddlers may be checked into the Nursery fifteen minutes prior to the service or class. Because safety and security is our top priority, you are required to first register your child at the check-in station in the Nursery and have a name tag printed. Our Ministry Assistant and a volunteer will help you there.

Visitors will be asked to leave a cell phone number with us. If you are needed by your little one, our staff will text you.

Check-Out Procedures

At the close of the service/class, you must sign your child out of the Nursery on the classroom roster. Only a parent may sign a child out of the Nursery.

When is a parent called back to the classroom?

Texting provides easy access to our parents during the Worship Service/classroom time. Our caregivers will do everything possible to make your child feel comfortable. We recognize, however, there are times when a child feels restless or needs an extra hug from you. If this happens, we will text you.

Snacks

Snacks are given to toddlers only. Snacks are age-appropriate and may include: Cheerios, graham crackers or fish crackers. We provide only water to drink and have sterilized sippy cups for children to use. If your child has special dietary needs, please bring something for them to eat and notify our caregivers.

Your Child’s Health

We operate a well-baby program. If your child has signs of illness such as runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, cough, or diarrhea, we ask that you do not place your child in the program that day.

What to Bring

  1. One disposable diaper (no cloth diapers please).
  2. A bottle of breast milk or formula (we have a refrigerator).
  3. A comfort item for your infant.
  4. A pacifier, if they use one.
  5. A change of clothes, for any untimely accidents.
  6. A sweater or jacket for outside play (toddlers only).
