Noah’s Nursery: 2 months to 24 months
Sundays @ 9:30am
We believe that each child holds a special place in the Kingdom of God. By nurturing a vital faith, the development of Christian character is possible in the youngest of children. Trained volunteers and caregivers provide a secure and nurturing atmosphere as they care for babies and toddlers in our program.
Noah’s Nursery is located on our main campus, directly across the Courtyard from the Sanctuary. See our campus map.
Babies from 2 months to 12 months old will be cared for in the infant section of Noah’s Nursery.
Toddlers that are 13 months and walking will be cared for in the toddler side of the program.
Any child that turns two from September 1st to December 1st will be promoted in January to our Two’s class. Toddlers that turn two during the spring and summer months will be promoted to the Two’s class in the fall of that year.
Infants and toddlers may be checked into the Nursery fifteen minutes prior to the service or Sunday school class. Because safety and security is our top priority, you are required to first register your child at the electronic check-in station on the courtyard and have a name tag printed. Our Ministry Assistant, along with a volunteer, will help you there.
After electronic check-in, bring your child to Noah’s Nursery where you will be greeted by one of our caregivers. Sign your child onto the classroom sheet, and be sure to leave any comments that might be helpful for the the staff regarding your child.
If your child has a difficult morning and we feel your are needed, we can contact you in one of two ways: you may leave your cell phone number and we will TEXT you; or you may take a pager. Pagers vibrate and need to be kept in a pocket or waist band.
At the close of the service/class, you must sign your child out of the Nursery on the classroom sheet. Only a parent may sign a child out of the Nursery.
When is a parent called back to the classroom?
Texting and pagers provide easy access to our parents during the Worship Service/Sunday school class. Our caregivers will do everything possible to help make your child feel comfortable and to draw their attention to something fun in our Nursery. We recognize, however, there are times when a child feels restless, uncomfortable or needs an extra hug from you. If this happens, we will text/page you without disturbing the people around you.
Snacks are given to toddlers only. Snacks are age-specific and might include: Cheerios, graham crackers, and as they get older and have more teeth, fish crackers. We provide only water to drink in the Nursery. We do have “sippy” cups for children to use. They are washed in a dishwasher to assure sterilization. If your child has special dietary needs, please bring something for them to eat and notify our caregivers.
Your Child’s Health
We operate a well-baby program. If your child has signs of illness, such as runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, cough or diarrhea, we request that you do not place your child in the program at that time.
