Quest

QUEST: A Christ-centered youth group for middle school kids. We offer opportunities to explore, learn, and exercise what it looks like to become disciples who authentically walk with Jesus within community. The Quest team desires to partner with and support parents in order to help families grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Quest Thursday Nights

Thursdays, September 7 through May 2018 | 7:00 – 8:30 pm | MVPC Forum

Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students from our area’s middle schools come together every Thursday night for worship, teaching, games and great music played by our student band.  Small group time is spent with students from your own grade and led by experienced Volunteer Leaders.  All middle school students welcome, no registration required.

Parent Guides for Quest are provided monthly as an aid to help families have discussion at home about what we are teaching in Student Ministries.  Download Parent Guides from the 2017-2018 school year:  September Parent Guide

New this year: Dinner before Quest on Thursday nights!

Rushing to get to Quest? No time to eat dinner? We hear you! This year, we will be offering a quick, casual dinner for our middle school students at 6:30 pm every Thursday before Quest starts. It might be pizza, hot dogs, quesadillas…you get the idea. So come to Quest a little early if you are hungry! Suggested donation of $5.

Upcoming Events:

October 26 – Pumpkin Carving before Quest, 6-7 pm. We will have carving tools out at 6:00 pm so just BYOP – bring your own pumpkin! Dinner will be ready at 6:30 for Quest students.

November 1 – Registration opens for Quest Winter Retreat (Hume Lake January 26-28).

November 16 – Thanksgiving Dinner at Harbor House. Registration will open on November 1st for this event also.

OTS (Opportunities to Serve):

Tutoring at Harbor House

During the last two school years, Quest supported our neighbors at Harbor House in OaklandQuest tutoring at Harbor House in their after-school program on select Wednesdays.  This has been a great opportunity for Quest students to help elementary school age students at Harbor House with reading, writing, and math – as well as offering love and support to our neighbors.

Check back before the next school year begins to see if we have added a link with new dates to sign up!

Medical Release Form:  Each school year, this form needs to be updated for any student to participate in an event off campus. Please fill in the form online and then print, sign and turn it in to the Family Ministries Office before the event your student will be attending.
