Retreat Speaker
Michele Telfer

Born in Zambia, Africa, Michele grew up in neighboring Zimbabwe. She and her husband Colin married in 1983 and re-located to Botswana after less than a year. It was there, after living a life far from the Lord, that they both accepted Christ.

After struggling for nine years with infertility, and an incredibly difficult first pregnancy, the Lord blessed them with two children, Steven and Megan, born 17 months apart.

During their 16 years in Botswana, they frequently went on Safari, often traveling alone through vast tracts of wilderness. A captivating and humorous story teller, Michele frequently uses her wide variety of life experiences to teach deep spiritual truths.

The Lord used Michele to speak in many churches in Africa as well as to Christian groups in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, before opening the door for her to speak and serve in the United States.
An animated Bible teacher, and graduate of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors and Speakers Seminar), Michele’s easy-to-listen-to accent and genuine concern for others make her encouraging messages memorable.

We welcome Michele back to MVPC after three years and look forward to hearing what new adventures with God she has to share with us.

Retreat Music
Tricia Davis

Tricia spent the first part of her life performing in musical theatre all around the country. From “Cinderella” to “Gigi” opposite Larry Kert (the original Tony from “West Side Story”) to several companies of “Nunsense”, she had a wonderful career. All that changed when Tricia and her husband Mark celebrated the arrival of the eldest of their three daughters. Now a full-time Mom, Tricia loves nothing better than using her gifts to lead others in worship of the Lord. She is an Associate Teaching Director for the Westlake Village, CA Community Bible Study and also serves in leadership at MOPS and Christian Women’s Club. Tricia and Mark remember their three years in Moraga and at MVPC with great affection and gratitude.

Nancy Angel

Nancy Angel has been actively involved in music ministry for years at her church and enjoys accompanying Tricia Davis for different ministry events in the community. Nancy lives in Southern California with her husband of 27 years. They are “empty nesters” with two adult children. Her son and his wife live in Colorado and are expecting their first child in early August. Nancy’s daughter is a senior at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo majoring in Speech Communications. Nancy is the secretary at her church and in her spare time is learning how to quilt.
