“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'” Psalm 91:1-2
Moms’ Council is a community of inter-generational moms who desire to know Jesus Christ as we celebrate, encourage, and equip each other in motherhood, family and life.
In January, we take the power of positivity (learned from our fall series) with us into the new year as we delve into a common struggle of being a mom – control. We live under the illusion that we can have peace, comfort, and security through our own efforts – thinking we can control our kids, our schedule, our lives – and surprised when we can’t. But God did not create us to be in control. More than “let go, let God”, we will discover He gave us something better.
Moms’ Council meets on Thursday mornings in the Fellowship Hall at 9:15 for goodies and coffee. Our program runs from 9:30-11:30, starting with our speaker and prayer in large group community, followed by more intimate small group time where we discuss how we can apply what we have learned and encourage one another through prayer and God’s word. Invite a friend along to try us out!
Sign yourself up now and any children needing our (free!) Children’s Program. You may join any time and all moms are welcome.
