Surf’s Up! Ready for some fun in the sun? We are ready to dive in to MVPC VBS, June 10-14, 2024 and catch the wave of Jesus’ love. Each day from 9am to Noon, at one of Lamorinda’s largest Vacation Bible Schools, kids will rock out to summertime tunes with our radical puppet dudes. They’ll dive into seaside snacks and sandcastle crafts, paddle over to wet’n’wild recreation, and hang loose with our sizzlin’ summer skits. And study powerful Bible stories to experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God. It’s gonna be a totally awesome week!
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. – Isaiah 43:2
We have staffed 140+ volunteers who will share their faith and talents with one another and our wonderful kids. From June 10-14, each one of our volunteers will experience the joy of helping children grow in their faith. At our VBS, instead of leading independent, isolated small groups – we’ve created an integrated, Bible-based program that provides kids a unique, total VBS experience that is interactive, safe, fun, faith-filled, life-giving, and fathoms beyond other summer camps! It’s all about the sea, the sand, and the SON!
VBS Fund: As part of registration, there was the opportunity to contribute to our VBS Fund, which is designated to scholarships to help kids in our surrounding communities attend VBS here at MVPC, and also to help fund this summer’s mission project described below in detail.
Volunteer Hospitality/Appreciation: Check out MVPC’s weekly eNews for the opportunity to sign-up to bring home-baked goods and nourishing treats for our 140+ volunteers who serve all week long at VBS. Thanks in advance!
Kids on a Mission: This summer at VBS, we will be partnering with Convoy of Hope, a very well respected Christian organization doing amazing work on Maui in the aftermath of the 2023 fires in Lahaina. We are asking our VBS campers to bring in supplies to build hygiene kits (download pdf instructions HERE) as donations for the people of Maui. After VBS, the assembled kits will get boxed up and shipped off to Convoy of Hope to be deployed as needed. A Troop 212 Boy Scout is heading up this effort as his Eagle project and we are all very excited for its tie-in to our VBS theme this summer, and its impact on the Maui fire victims, many of whom are still displaced months after the flames have been extinguished. If you would like to donate, please click on the link above for instructions and drop off the supplies at MVPC during VBS week, June 10-14! Mahalo!
VBS 2024 registration is closed!.
