MVPC works with Harbor House
In the past 40 years, Harbor House, Located Oakland, CA, has served more than 100,000 people in spiritual, economic, and educational development. Harbor House works to break the barriers people in low-income communities have to living well and thriving.
Harbor House offers the following programs in the San Antonio district of Oakland: a tutoring program for school children; a professional ESL program for adults; a fully stocked kitchen and thrift store for emergency food and clothing; an after-school program; internships for teens; work opportunities with Harbor House-developed businesses; Bible Study classes; and organized sports for kids.
